#16 - God, I'm Waiting

We are still waiting…….. shocker, right?!?!?

Waiting on answers.

Waiting on things to change.

Waiting on things to end.

Waiting on God.

That’s where it all begins and ends, with God. We didn’t know how long this intense season of waiting was going to last. Only God knew that, and He wasn’t giving us His timeline.

He just kept saying, “Wait. Trust Me. I will fulfill My plan. Wait. Trust Me.”

Wow, so much waiting. Lots of phone calls. So many different opinions and assumptions of people. But nothing was finite. Nothing. Not the no. Not the yes.

We are waiting.

I am learning to enjoy time while we wait. We don’t know what it’s going to look like from day to day. Sometimes from minute to minute. Living in a state of uncertainty is hard, difficult, just downright unruly. I’m not going to try and dimmish how life changing it can be.

But I decided to cherish the days and moments I did have with our baby boy. I learned that there was peace in trusting God. That there could still be good days and happy moments in times of waiting. I learned to love even deeper and fall more and more in love with the most perfect baby boy God had given us, even if it was just for this moment in time.

He was growing so fast, and I was there for it. Every little thing I cherished and captured in my mind and saved it in the corners of my heart. I wanted to be able to remember them forever….. no matter what. I loved being his mama. Everything about it consumed my heart with an overflowing happiness that I could not contain. God I am so happy! I think he is so happy too! Please let me be his mama forever if it’s your will. Oh, please God let that be your will. I prayed this every day.

Every day we were still waiting.

Every day we were still praying.

Every day we were still believing.

Every day we were still trusting.

Every day we were still waiting.
